    NCS is a once in a lifetime opportunity open to all 16 and 17 year olds across England. It is a unique programme mixing fun, discovery and challenge, designed to build confidence and prepare young people for their journey into adulthood. Groups of young people spend time away from home, doing challenging physical outdoor activity, before returning to their communities to explore some of the social issues in their local area. Through this they will also learn more about themselves, and develop new skills. In their teams they then plan and deliver a social action project that benefits their community. There is a celebration event for graduates of the programme, and a range of opportunities to support them in their future development.

    Greengrape Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a National leader within Employability and Skills provision for a number of energetic and proactive Youth Engagement Recruiters to support delivery of the National Citizenship Service.

    Key responsibilities:

    -Engage with a socially diverse mix of young 16-17 year olds and encourage them to take part in NCS.
    -Generating leads with schools, colleges and specialist providers, you will follow up by actively promoting NCS throughout the community assemblies, events, taster days and information sessions.
    -You will manage the pre-programme relationship with the participants and maintain their commitment to join the programme.

    Essential Criteria:

    -Experience of working directly with teams of young people (either in voluntary or paid capacity)
    -Sales experience within a target environment
    -Good knowledge of the local area
    -An energetic, enthusiastic and persuasive personality with a ‘can do’ attitude
    -Strong communication skills both at 1-1 and group situations
    -Ability to build rapport with young people
    -Must have a professional approach and motivated to succeed
    -Possess excellent time management, administration and problem solving skills
    -Must be flexible to travel within the region as and when required
